Looking for a mattress?

It is the most time consuming thing to purchase. There are many available in the market but which one is the best for you and your family?

Here in this article given are few tips that you should know before buying the mattress. When you take into consideration these seven factors you sure will have a long-lasting and a comfortable mattress with you.

1) Decide on a budget

When you visit the markets the prices are very high these days. You have to allocate a budget for your mattress buying. There are many mattresses of different qualities and materials used in them differ in quality. That is the reason of the pricing difference in the mattress. But you have to look for the best in the market.  

So to get the best quality you have to spend a bit more for the comfort of you and your family.

2) Decide the size of the mattress you are going to buy

There are many designs of mattresses available today with different coloring and designs on them. But the size maters, it depends on the size you choose, the quality and price both depend on the size of the mattress.  

What I recommend to you is to choose a large Size Mattress if you have room to fit it in. think of it like this, you roll over sometime during the night and fall down, how does that go?

That’s why I myself use large, king-size mattresses.

The standard sizes of Mattresses Are:

TWIN: 39 wide, 75 long

TWIN EXTRA LONG: 38 wide; 80 long

DOUBLE/FULL: 54 wide, 75 long

QUEEN: 60 wide, 80 long

KING: 76 wide, 80 long

California King: 72 wide, 84 long.

3) Test. Test. Test

Well, seeing is to believe, lie down on some mattresses around different stores and see how you feel.  

4) Don t be too worried about words like, firm, extra firm, etc

Manufactures tend to exhibit their mattresses in every way they can, so see for yourself test them and not believe them, you might ask a friend or a family member before buying one.

5) Warranty

This is the most important thing to consider. If you get a mattress with a 25 years of warranty, that’s just great even more better if there is a life time guarantee.  

6) Get familiar with the following terms:  

“Innerspring” these are the most common ones. It is made up of steel coils layered in cushions.

“Box spring” (also called the foundation).has an old box spring on which the mattress is put.

7) Make your own choices, see what you have.

There are many other options than spring or box spring mattresses such as Foam Mattress, airbeds, futons and waterbeds.
